My Obsession with Fanfiction

Fan-Fiction...WHAT!!!

So if you have read my bio on this site you will see that in my spare time I like to read Fan-fiction stories. My favorites are Harry Potter, Scandal and sometimes I will read a Twilight story. Anyway so today I decided to write my own story. It's called Broken Girl. I based it on the TV show Scandal, which airs on ABC. Basically I want to inform you that if you have time go check out my story. The link is below.

 My Fanfiction Account

For some reason I always get embarrassed when I tell people that I read Fan-Fiction. I guess I see it as it being my guilty pleasure. It's like a fantasy world. I get to read about my favorite characters doing things that they might not get the chance to do in the actual TV show or book. I also think that I am a hopeless romantic. So when I get to read stories about Olivia and Fitz or Harry Potter being a total badass against Voldemort I just cannot stop reading. So do your self a favor and go check out Fanfiction.net. You will probably become addicted and spend all of your time on the site like I do.

Hope you enjoyed my random post about Fanfiction

Chicken, Onion, and Pepper Enchiladas

This Dish was sooooooo Good!!!

(I forgot to take a picture before we started eating)
Anyway so yesterday I made this amazing dish. It was creamy and rich. It only took me a 10 minutes to prep and 20 minutes to bake. Recipe is below:

Creamy Chicken Enchiladas

Ingredients:
2 cups of leftover chicken
1 Tbsp Taco Seasoning
1 Cup salsa
1 can of cream of chicken soup
8  Flour Tortillas
1/2 cup Mexican blend shredded cheese
1/3 cup sour cream
* I added 1/2 cup of onions(sauteed) and peppers(sauteed)

Heat Oven to 350 degrees

Mix Salsa and cream of chicken soup together in a bowl

In another bowl, mix chicken, taco seasoning, cheese, veggies( if you are using them), and sour cream

Fill the center of each tortilla and roll up. Place the rolled up tortillas in your baking dish( make sure to spray dish with Pam spray) with the exposed edge side down. Pour you salsa/soup mixture on top and make sure to cover all over the top of the tortillas. Top with more cheese if you desire.

Bake 20 minutes or until heated through. Serve with salsa and sour cream.

I hope you enjoy this recipe! Let me know how this works out for you.

Strawberry and Cheesecake Filling

Yum!!!

So yesterday I made dinner for my family. But the main surprise that I had for them was my dessert. I'm sure many of you have seen the pictures circling around that have strawberries filled with cheesecake filling. Well today I decided try making it( also I was kind of just craving some cheesecake). Anyway so down below is the recipe I used.

Strawberry and Cheesecake Filling

Ingredients:

1 lb. fresh strawberries, rinsed and pat dry
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Directions:

With pairing knife, cut off the strawberry stems. Cut around the inside of the strawberry, hollowing out slightly and creating a well for the cheesecake. Cut off a small portion of the pointy strawberry tip, so that each strawberry can stand. Place each on a large baking sheet.

In a medium bowl, with a standing or handheld electric mixer, beat cream cheese, sugar and vanilla until fluffy, about 2 minutes on medium speed. Place mixture in a pastry bag and pipe into each strawberry, adding a little extra to the top. Refrigerate until thoroughly chilled.

Enjoy!!!

My Feelings About Church

This post is kind of a confession/a bit of my random thoughts about church.

So today was Sunday, and like any Sunday in my house my mom always tries to get us( as in my dad, my brother, and I) to go to church with her and my sister. Like always I end up going because I feel bad. Its not that I don't like church or God. I do. But sometimes I feel as though I not going for the right reasons besides appeasing my mother.

So today like most Sundays when I am home I get up and try to dress my best. I'm sure many of you know what I mean by church dressing. Basically you end up spending way to much time getting ready ( as in your outfits and hair) and less time actually thinking about the Lord. Well today was just like that. It's like I think I am going to meet my future husband. Even though there is no one at my church that I find even remotely attractive. For most people I think church is like a big show. You end up dressing up for other people and see who is wearing what and how they look in it. Today I ended up wearing a new skirt and top and ended up not paying any attention to what my pastor had to say. Like most people in church I end up feeling bored and annoyed by the end of the sermon, instead of mentally ready to take on the next week. My new goal by the end of the summer is to actually listen to what the pastor is saying and to care less about what I end up wearing to church. Instead I will try and apply what my pastor is preaching and use it in my everyday life. I hope my random ramblings did not turn some of you off.

Have a Great Sunday!!

Introduction to Me and The Blog

All About the Blog

So many people are deciding to get blogs now a days and I guess I decided to get one too. Although to be fair I have had two other blogs but I just haven't kept up with them. However this one will be different. I guess you can expect me to post crafts, funny video clips, and insightful tidbits about what it is like to be that Token Black Gurl and how I love being it(sometimes). I'll try to post twice a week. But I will not give you a specific day of the week because lets be honest it probably will not happen that way.

Okay on to me now:

So my name is Jillian Nicole and I am 20 years old. I'm single and looking for someone serious. I love watching HGTV and Master Chef. I'm addicted to CBS reality shows so expect some posts about Big Brother, Survivor, or Amazing Race. I love reading Fanfiction( mainly about Scandal and Harry Potter). My newest addiction is Pinterest and I can spend hours online just looking at future craft ideas. I work at a Dog and Cat rescue so my free time is picking hair out of my clothing. Otherwise I am browsing through countless YouTube videos or chatting with friends. Although I am young I am not that techno savy so my twitter account and Instragram account look pretty bare( but I am working on it). I can't wait to get this blog up and moving.

Looking forward to more posts.

Love ya
